Obi-Wan Kenobi, your best and closest friend of all of the Jedi wasn’t with you. At twenty-five years of age, he was older by about five years. He had left on an mission days ago with his Master Qui-Gon Jinn in order to settle a dispute between the Trade Federation and the planet of Naboo, but you sensed it was something bigger. There’s a blockade with battleships around the peaceful planet. Beautiful too, the planet, not the blockade.
Wondering through the halls of the Jedi Temple on Coruscant with no straight destination in mind, you pause. You sense a familiar presence within the Force, much closer, on the same planet now. Obi-Wan returned with his Master and an unfamiliar young presence that surged with Force sensitivity.
You reached out in the Force to Obi-Wan and after a short moment he did the same to you. Letting yourself smile, you continued your way through the Temple.

Late in the afternoon, you still didn’t get a chance to see Obi-Wan. He and his Master were clearly still in the middle of a mission and only briefing the Jedi Council members during their stop on Coruscant. Again, you sense the presence of the force sensitive youth as he enters the Temple. After some time of waiting, Obi-Wan’s presence comes closer, you physically follow his presence until you finally see the trio walking through the halls.
A young boy’s wondering eyes landed on you and he grinned as you gave him a simple friendly wave. Master Qui-Gon’s head turns, probably sensing your gaze and definitely your presence. He nods to you with a smile before continuing towards the Council’s meeting chambers with his two companions in tow. With a little nudge from the Force, again, you catch Obi-Wan’s eyes. He smiles to you kindly in greeting, keeping an air of professionalism around his Master. Otherwise he would have at least approached you, however given their intended route, he chose his uptight and stern posture. A pose you knew so well from him, however you sensed he was....conflicted? You would have to speak with him later, in good time.

At about evening time, you walk out onto a balcony, the sights of the city shining in the evening light. Two Jedi turn around, sensing your approach.
“Master Qui-Gon,” you bow respectfully.
“(F/N), good to see you,” Master Qui-Gon greets with a small smile. He seems troubled and as if he was in deep concentration.
“I apologize if I’m interrupting.”
“No, no. We are waiting on the Council.”
“May I wait with you both until the boy finishes his tests?”
Both Jedi raise their eyebrows in surprise by your question. There was no way you would have known about their conversations about the boy, however this was you and they shouldn’t have been so taken aback. Unlike most Padawans, some Masters included, you had visions of both the past and future.
“By all means, please,” Master Qui-Gon smiled, knowing much about your abilities. He glanced over at his Padawan once before turning his attention back to the sky and quite possibly the Jedi Council’s chambers.
“Hello, Obi-Wan,” you smiled at the young man, sensing his troubles even more as you walked to stand next to him. Both turning to look out to the city that covered the planet.
“Hello, (F/N),” Obi-Wan stood calmly beside you. Though in truth, he was anxious, that much was certain, but your presence helped eased some of his troubles.
The two of you stood against the railing in silence and surrounded by the Force. You rubbed the fabric of Obi-Wan’s cloak between your fingers in comfort and confirmation that he was really there. It felt as if months had gone by without him in the Temple or him spending time with you. You knew he would have to leave again, so for the time being, you allowed yourself to enjoy this.

Patiently waiting for an opportunity to speak with Obi-Wan after the meeting with the Council, the doors open as the young boy is dismissed from the Council as Master Qui-Gon Jinn and Obi-Wan walk out after him. The boy spotted you standing in the hallway, recognition flashing in his eyes. Master Qui-Gon whispered something to him and nodded in your direction.
“Hello,” the young boy greets you with an innocent and curious smile as he walks up to you. Yet in his eyes you see and sense disappointment.
“Hello,” you walk up to meet him. “My name is (F/N) (L/N).” You bow your head slightly, hands clasped together. You are immediately overpowered by the sense of his Force abilities. He would definitely be a Jedi, except his clothes prove otherwise and you would have never forgotten a youngling so in tune with the Force.
“I’m Anakin Skywalker. Pleasure to meet you,” he copies your bow with a wide grin as he straightens up. “You’re a Jedi,” he said in awe, looking at your robes and your lightsaber clipped to your belt.
“I am.” You smiled at his youthful excitement.
Both Master Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan stood off to the side observing your interaction with the boy.
“Who’s your Master?”
“Oh, my Master has passed on some time ago during our last mission together.”
“I’m sorry,” his face fell in sadness.
“He is now one with the Force.”
“But what about you? Now that you don’t have a Master?”
“I was nearly ready to go on my own, in my Master’s opinion, when he passed and the Council agreed that I’m to begin the Jedi Trails to become a Jedi knight,” you give a small smile to brighten the boy’s mood.
“Wow!”
“‘Wow’, indeed. I’m quite young to start the Trails. What brings you here, Anakin?” That seemed to bring a mixture of sadness and joy to the youngster.
“I’m hoping to be a Jedi and Master Qui-Gon is to train me. Well....if the other Masters let him.”
“I see. You know Obi-Wan, then?” You peek up to see Obi-Wan who looked very uncomfortable.
“Yeah, him and Master Qui-Gon brought me here...., but they couldn’t free my mother. I promised her that when I become a Jedi, I’ll save her.”
“Anakin,” you lean forward slightly to rest a gentle hand on his shoulder. “I sense that one day you will fulfill that promise to your mother. Have faith in the Force.”
“I will,” he beamed, happiness returning to him. “And you’ll be a Jedi Knight. Would we be able to go on missions together?”
“There’s a good chance of that. Then you’ll be able to show me how much you’ve learned.”
“Anakin,” Master Qui-Gon calls beckoning him to follow.
“Oh, coming, Master, Sir. I’ll see you soon, (F/N)!” He waved as he sprinted off to Master Qui-Gon.
“See you soon, Anakin,” you waved.
Master Qui-Gon gave a look to Obi-Wan before walking down the hall with Anakin beside him.
Obi-Wan walks over to you, his anxiety three times as much as when you last stood with him.
“Qui-Gon thinks I’m ready for the Trials,” he said looking somewhere behind you in thought.
“That’s fantastic!......Isn’t it?”
“It is. I just....he never talked with me about it.”
“But that’s not what’s bothering you. It has to do with Anakin, doesn’t it?”
“Qui-Gon is convinced to have him trained, but....he’s too old.”
“He seems very curious and eager to learn the ways of the Jedi. Did they ignore his power with the Force? There must be something else that is pushing them to say ‘no’.”
“They sense great sadness, fear, and other emotions in him.”
“It’s because he knows and is still attached to his mother?”
“It’s more than that....,” he trailed off looking away. He was frustrated, but that didn’t mean he wanted to throw it onto you.
With nibble fingers you reached up and lightly pulled on his long braid to gain his attention back. Blue eyes like that of stormy skies bore into your (E/C) orbs in a communication unexplained with or by words.
“Everything will turn out alright, Obi-Wan,” you reassured him.
“How can you be so sure,” his fingers twitched at his sides, an internal struggle to not touch you in a way that would be deemed inappropriate between Jedi. He was very by the book after all. Plus the Jedi Masters’ Council chambers were down the hall. He rolled his eyes trying to be less conflicted with the events, even you. “You’re sounding like Qui-Gon.”
“Good,” you yanked on his braid teasingly.
He frowned at you, not really mad, but a bit annoyed.
You stuck your tongue out at him, quick like a lizard.
“Ow,” you reached for your own braid.
Obi-Wan hid his grin fairly well as you debated whether or not to kick his shin for using the Force to yank on your hair.
“You’ll be leaving again soon, won’t you?” You asked even though the answer was as clear as the windows overlooking the cityscape.
“We have to take the Queen back to Naboo.”
“And find out who attacked her?”
He frowned at you, “How did you know?”
“Another glimpse into the past this time.”
“You have an extraordinary gift.”
“Thank you,” you twirled his braid between your fingers.
“I should go,” he looked off in the direction that his Master and Anakin went.
You smoothed his braid down his torso, taking your time with the close contact. His braid almost reached where his bellybutton was underneath his robes, showing how long he has been a Padawan.
“Alright, but you will let me know when you reach Naboo.” It wasn’t a question and he knew that much.
“I will,” he nodded and placed a reassuring hand on your arm. “You will do well in the Trials.” One last smile and he started walking off down the hall.
Waiting until he was about twenty feet or so away you called after him, “Hey!”
Obi-Wan turned around to face you.
“You might need this,” you waved his lightsaber in front of you.
His eyebrows shot up in surprise as he quickly looked down to his utility belt, which indeed was lacking his elegant weapon.
“(F/N)!”
A wide grin spread across your face and you laughed, tossing his lightsaber to him.
. . .
Obi-Wan returns to the Jedi Temple after the battle on Naboo. You get a chance to see him after the he speaks with Grand Master Yoda who now recognizes him as a Jedi Knight and Anakin’s Jedi Master.
“You will train him well. I’ve seen it.”
“You’ve seen it?”
You smile up at him and say, “I meditate a lot in my free time, you know that. Anakin becomes rather tall. Perhaps taller than you.” You poke his chest lightly.
“Have you seen anything else?” He tried pushing the answers out of you, not that you would hide anything from him. Well, something in this matter.
“It’s a bit cloudy, but he does excel through his training. Although I think that is partially your fault because you’re a good teacher.”
“I hope so,” he held your thin braid between his fingers. Who would have thought he would quickly become a Jedi Knight and have an Apprentice before you finished the Jedi Trials. “Have you told Master Yoda of what you’ve seen?”
“I have and I need to tell you something.”
“And what’s that?”
“I passed the Trial of Spirit,” you grinned, wanting to jump up and down. It had been a difficult Trial, seeing your greatest fears unleashed and having to put aside your emotions. As a Jedi you should have control of your emotions, but you simply couldn’t help it. As long as you set them aside for the right reasons and right time, it seemed fit.
“That’s brilliant.”
“Soon I won’t have my braid anymore....although I kinda miss yours.”
“Just so you can pull on it?”
“.....No.”
. . .
Staring at Master Qui-Gon’s funeral pyre, you stand very close to Obi-Wan, arms firmly pressed together and only blocked by the thickness of your cloaks. Anakin, not yet sporting Jedi attire as he stood in front of his Master who was lacking a certain braid. There was hope in the young Skywalker’s eyes after Obi-Wan promised him that he would be trained to be a Jedi. You felt at peace remembering Qui-Gon and his words of wisdom. There were no tears, not now, you shed your fill before speaking with Obi-Wan about his future.
. . .
In Obi-Wan’s room.
“Sometimes I wish I was there with you.”
“Don’t say that,” Obi-Wan shook his head slowly.
“Wh-?”
“Because of what happened to Master Qui-Gon. Hope that you will never have to face a Sith. Do you understand?”
You nodded.
“I do not want you to have the same fate.”
At that you closed the distance between you and hugged him around his waist, resting your ear over his heart. It caught him off guard, never fully embracing each other before now. Hesitantly, he returned your gesture and rested his chin on your head of hair.
“I did not mean you would not be capable of facing one in a duel. I trust in your abilities,” Obi-Wan spoke softly.
“I know.”
You two had an unbreakable bond that was different from others and it was something that even Master Qui-Gon kept quiet about, never telling either of you what it truly was. Though in your heart you knew that if you pondered on it long enough or even for a short amount of time, you would be putting your life as a Jedi at risk and you wouldn’t dare risk Obi-Wan’s future either.

. . .
At the Jedi Temple, Obi-Wan is training Anakin and he is learning fairly quickly, which is unnerving for some. You on the other hand are very proud of the boy and his Master.
Currently, you’re meditating in the Gardens of Meditation and sense Obi-Wan’s approach through the Force. You crack open an eye and peer up at him.
“Would you care to sit, oh stressed one?” You sent him a smirk as he sighed rather dramatically before sitting down with you. “Have you come to meditate or vent?”
“It would be wise of me to meditate.”
“It would also be wise to get those racing thoughts and opinions out of your mind before you implode,” you nudged his arm with your elbow.
He narrowed his eyes at you.
“Oh, come now. I don’t want my best friend ignoring important information.” You swiveled your body to face his side and patted his thigh encouragingly.
Suddenly he started rambling rather quickly, “The other Masters are watching Anakin’s every move. I feel as if he does one thing wrong that they will blame me, which they would be in the right because I am his Master. Anakin is speeding through his training and does not seem to slow down, but only gain speed . . .”
He keeps talking and won’t meditate with you even after you thought he was finished talking. So you push him down on his back to lay down. His eyebrows raise in surprise by your actions.
Keeping your hand on his chest you say, “Even for you, this is too much. Now, shh!”
You adjust yourself to then lay down on the soft grass with your head resting on his toned stomach, perpendicular to his position. You intertwine your fingers over your stomach and relax. Perhaps if you focused enough, your calmness would transfer to Obi-Wan. Well, that’s what you hoped.
He doesn’t say another word as you both lay in the grass silently.
You turn your head and open your eyes to check on Obi-Wan and are met with his blue eyes, looking a bit less grey with all of the flora around. You smile at him before closing your eyes again and resuming your meditation.
. . .

Now a Jedi Knight for about ten years, you silently make your way to the edge of the stands where hundreds of Geonosians await the end of Senator Amidala, Anakin Skywalker, and Obi-Wan Kenobi. Two hundred Jedi ignite their lightsabers before going down into the area where hundreds of droids are marching in. In midst the fight you catch sight of Obi-Wan battling the large green praying mantis like creature, an acklay. Many Jedi are killed and you are among the small group that are rounded up with Senator Amidala. You stand beside Obi-Wan, all igniting lightsabers to fight off the droids right before the Senator gathers everyone’s attention skyward to gunships. Grand Master Yoda had appeared with an army of troops. With a last glance at Obi-Wan, you leap onto a gunship with Jedi Knight Aayla Secura.

After the Battle of Geonosis many Jedi were laid to rest, too many, and the Republic now had an army of clones. You sat in your room meditating, trying not to grieve for the many losses. You had led many clone troopers into battle and they followed you without question. You didn’t know them, but you protected them the best you could as your troopers and yourself took down many droids.
Deep in thought, you can still sense Obi-Wan walking into your room and sit in front of you on the floor as well.
“The Clone Wars have begun, Obi-Wan,” you say, keeping your eyelids shut.
He doesn’t move nor say anything.
“You fought bravely,” your eyes open, gazing at his injured arm and leg even though they were covered by his attire.
“He got away.” The he being Count Dooku, one of the Lost, who was on Geonosis and gave chase to the Jedi as Anakin and Obi-Wan went to face him in order to bring him to justice. By doing so they could have stopped the war from ever starting, maybe, but you doubt it. There is much more going on than you realize.
“At least you and Anakin survived. Not that I would have any doubts,” you reasoned.
“Anakin was being arrogant and risky. He could have very well gotten us killed.”
You sighed, used the Force to switch the lock on your door, and climbed into Obi-Wan’s lap.
“You’ve said that a lot,” you link your arms around his shoulders.
“Well he does and often.”
“I know,” you lean your head against the crook of his neck. You could faintly feel the increasing of his pulse. “You’re allowed to hug me back.”
“Because you locked your door? That hardly gives reason.”
“No, because you have two perfectly functioning arms that are just dangling off of your shoulders when they could be around me like a blanket.”
He let out a long sigh, wrapping his arms around you, and cradled you close.
“Have you considered taking on an apprentice?”
“With what’s happening....I might have to.”
“You don’t have to unless you feel the need to teach other Jedi, which I think....need someone like you to teach them more about the Force and ways of the Jedi that go beyond what they can learn here in the Temple.”
You smile, saying, “That sounds encouraging.”
“Well, you won’t have to teach Anakin,” he scoffed.
“True, but now we have to be in a war. I don’t like it.”
“Neither do I,” he leaned his head against yours.

. . .

Back at the Jedi Temple.
“(F/N),” Obi-Wan called, making his way to you.
“Ah, Master Kenobi.”
He furrowed his eyebrows at you in question.
“Since when do you use such formalities? Did something happen?”
You grinned as he stopped in front of you.
“I just wanted to see your reaction.” You looked up at him, watching him decide against rolling his eyes at you in annoyance.
“Of course.”
“How are you?”
“Better. Chancellor Palpatine is back with the Senate and Anakin is the one getting praised. I wanted nothing to do with that. Although I did not think I would see you so soon.”
“Diplomacy helped avoid any violence. We returned three days ago.”
“That’s good to hear. You’re always one to solve any issues without it leading to conflict. Well, most of the time.”
“Please don’t bring that up again,” you crossed your arms under your chest.
“I had the situation under control. You didn’t need to use the Force against them.”
“It was a reaction. Anakin was....being Anakin and set them off.”
“We were lucky that they accepted our apologies.”
“I know, I know.”
“Anakin was lucky the trip back was short when you started lecturing him.”
“Agreed,” you smirked, remembering how Anakin had to force himself to listen to your rambling about his behavior.
“He still doesn’t know I lectured you about it.” Obi-Wan smirked as well, recalling the memory.
“That’s a relief.”

. . .
The Jedi Temple is under attack by clone troopers and a familiar presence of Anakin Skywalker is with them.

“But Master--.”
“Go! Tell everyone it is no longer safe!” You ordered a young Jedi Knight.
“Master?” A small voice calls and your heart clenches.
You turn to see a clan of younglings looking up at you with large eyes and a young Padawan with them.
“Get them out of here. Go off planet if you must and do not reveal yourselves as Jedi. Take a ship, quickly,” you shoo them off.
“May the Force be with you, Master,” said one of the younglings.
“May the Force be with us all,” your chest heaved knowing that it was all coming to an end. You would have gone with them, but you needed to give them a chance, to buy them time and that meant facing Anakin Skywalker. A distraction when facing Anakin who upon seeing him, was no longer himself. He was consumed by the Dark Side and even his eyes turned a yellow that made him look extremely dangerous.

. . .
After the execution of Order 66 and after the Republic was turned into a Galactic Empire, you are forced into hiding and made your way to the Outer Rim. More specifically to the planet Tatooine. Through a hidden signal, you had came in contact with Senator Bail Organa, one still loyal to the Jedi, and was updated on the status of the remaining Jedi. Master Yoda had recently left for a deeply marsh planet known as Dagobah. There was little hope left for the Jedi Order, however you were also in the knowledge of the two infants of Skywalker and Amidala. The young girl went with the Organas and the young boy was brought to his remaining family on Tatooine by someone you were anxious to see.
Making your way through the desert landscape was the least of your worries. Getting the locals to tell you about any available homes or recently viewed homes was the issue. Eventually you managed to persuade a merchant to tell you about a newcomer to the area.
So now, here you are, hiding under your cloak from the blazing heat coming from the twin suns. Adjusting your bag’s strap on your shoulder, you followed the strong Force presence that eased your worry, but heightened your anxiety. It had been far too long since you last saw Obi-Wan and now that everything, the whole galaxy, had changed all you wanted to do was feel safe with someone you trusted.
Before you fully made it to the door of the small home or even knocked, the door opened and standing there with a surprised expression stood Obi-Wan Kenobi.
“(F/N).”
“Hello, Obi-Wan,” you smiled, pulling back you hood.
In a blink of an eye, you were pulled into the home and tightly embraced in his strong arms. You reciprocated with your arms latched around his neck and hands desperately clinging to him.
“There was no word from you,” Obi-Wan murmured into the crook of your neck. “Not from anyone.”
“I felt the loss of so many. It was worse than on Geonosis. I did my best to get everyone out of the Temple, but....he was there. I had to buy the younglings time. When I got away I went into hiding, I had no chance to contact you or anyone else because I would have been found for sure and I didn’t want to risk anyone else being found either. That’s why I staged an accident to fake my death, but....didn’t you sense me at all through the Force?”
“I did....I just....I was worried about you. I saw the footage in the Jedi Temple.”
“And I was worried about you, but....now I feel as if I’m in the safest place I could ever be in the galaxy.”
He let out a short light laugh, “I have missed you.”
“I’ve missed you too.”
You both pull away only enough to see each other’s faces.
“What do we do now?” You ask, looking up into his light stormy blue eyes.
“We pass on our knowledge of the Force and traditions of the Jedi Order.”
“Yes, but what of now? The boy is but an infant and it’ll be years before you see him again with his aunt and uncle raising him.”
He was silent, looking off in deep thought.
“Will you stay here with me?”
“Of course. I would even if I had somewhere else to go,” you played with the hair at his nape. “Then may I tell you something?”
“Anything.”
“I love you,” you say barely over a whisper, but it’s enough for Obi-Wan as he leans down to give you a soft kiss on the lips.
You would have fallen into a hep of mushy sighs if it wasn’t for his hold on you.
“I love you, too,” Obi-Wan said before resuming to kiss you, but with more need and passion. Something the Jedi Code forbids, but there was no one there to scold or rip you away from each other or the Order.
Extending your arm, you let your bag fall silently to the floor. Sensing everything about you, Obi-Wan slid off your cloak and tossed it to the side before returning his arms to your form.
“Obi-Wan,” you said against his lips.
“Hmm?” His fingers tangled in your hair and pushed your lower back to bring you closer to him.
“Your hair tickles......OW!”
He chuckled, resuming to only tangle your hair instead of yank it the way you use to do his braid when you were both Padawans.
“I’m going to get you for that,” you mumble, not breaking the kiss.
“Good,” he picked you up around your thighs and carried you to another room.

Together you spent your years recording what you knew of the Jedi Order and bits of information that would be helpful for young Luke in the future. For there would come a time when the Jedi would return to the galaxy and destroy the Empire.
This is the first post I've ever done on here. Not the first insert reader I written though. Hopefully it's not too bad. The storyline goes along with the prequels of the Star Wars saga.
